Great job filling in for Matt...we have a great chance of going far this year, I get really ramped up watching you scramble out of the pocket for decent gains instead of dumping it out of bounds or taking a loss. Our line is getting better and with Alexander coming back soon, it think we will do great with you or Matt.
From: Sara and Eric in Pullman Washington
We think you play so well as a Quarterback and gave the Seahawks just what they needed in a time of need. We really enjoy watching you and can't wait to see you play more! Go Hawks.
From: Jeff in Lynnwood Washington
Ok dude chill out a little. I like you being the Seahawks secret. Too many people see you play the way you have while Matt's been out and we'll lose you. Can't have that. lol Seriously we all knew you could play given the chance now the world knows. Sorry but don't look for any punt return duties anytime soon Big Mikey's never going to let you do that now.
From: Matt in Merced California
Seneca, After getting a couple of glimpses of you in the 2005 season I knew we'd be in capable hands when Matt went out. I was excited to finally see you play but you've far exceed my expectations and it's really comforting knowing you're there, ready and "determined" whenever the hawks need you next. I glad you're with the Hawks even though I know you'd be a pro-bowler in no time starting for any other team. Keep up the great work and THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!
From: John in Bremerton Washington
I must say, you have perfumed exceptional. How fortunate the Seahawks are to have two outstanding QB's. Not only as football players but also as Christians. Our youth and adults have men to be proud of on the Seahawks.
From: Josh in Polk City Iowa
Seneca you are the man… I bought Madden 07' the other day, took Hasselbeck out and threw you in… No disrespect to Hasselbeck, but being from Iowa and all. Anyways you are making your future right now, the better you play, the better your future looks, you AND Morris. I was watching the game today with my girlfriend, and I was like watch this when he gets in trouble. Sure enough you ran like a bat out of hell and got like 31 yards!
From: Michael in Olympia Washington
Please stay in Seattle for the future. I can see you leading us to numerous championships. I only say this because everybody I talk to about it say that you'll leave to start somewhere else, which is understandable, but I wouldn't mind if you were our full time starter
From: Maurice in Columbus Ohio
You're the best! You did great against Oakland keep it up!
From: Mindy in Seattle Washington
Seneca, you’ve done a great job the last couple of weeks! It was great to watch you be introduced as the Starting QB of the Hawks on Monday Night! Keep it up and help us soar!! GO HAWKS!!

Seneca, you looked great on MNF. I have wonderful memories of watching you play at ISU, and it is great to see you on the field again! You are such an exciting player and I wish you much success!
From: Sam in Grimes Iowa
Hey Seneca, I miss not seeing you playing in the cardinal and gold Cyclone uniforms. I hope to see you back in Ames!
From: Adam in Ankeny Iowa
Hey Seneca, Did you hear about Coach McCarney? It's sad to see him go; after all he did for the University. Just wondered what your thoughts were on the issue. Good luck against the Rams!
From Chris in Ames Iowa
Hey great job against Oakland!! Can't wait to see you play the Rams!!
From: Felicia in Rancho Cordova California
Hey Sen, Keep up the good work. Practice makes perfect. I remember the days when you were showing off your skills on LaVerta Ct. :o) Tell mom and dad I said hello. Stay positive and keep God First and everything will fall into place. Go Seahawks!!!
From: Kaylie in Marengo Iowa
CONGRATULATIONS SENECA!!! You did an amazing job with the Seahawks last night....starting as an NFL quarterback is hard enough let alone playing on a Monday night. You showed poise and control, brains and self confidence! I am extremely proud of the way you performed last night and I had to watch the entire game. I was exhausted due to my first two-a-day basketball practice for the year and I wanted to sleep so bad knowing that I had to be back in the gym at 6:15 this morning but I couldn't stop watching you!!! I was amazed and I am so glad that you got this chance because hopefully this will show all the coaches and people out there what you are made of!! Keep up the good work and remember even if you are 5'11" you can still be a quarterback DON'T FORGET THAT!! haha I'm 5'3" and I'll never give up my basketball dreams due to my height so be strong and keep running your little heart out!! You deserve everything you have been given and I hope that you realize that you still have some amazing fans back here in Iowa!!!
From: Fernando in Ontario California
You are FAST!!! You treated Monday's game like it was practice against those Raiders! Keep up the good work!
From: Trevor in Seattle Washington
Hey Seneca, Great game this past weak. I admire how you stepped in and took control after Matt's injury. Well just do what makes it work for you! P.S. Great job in the game against the Panthers.
From: Jesse in Sequim Washington
Seneca, I was just wondering how much control of the offense the coaching staff has given to you in the past couple weeks? Everything looked right on line last week in KC and we are looking forward to seeing what you can do on Monday night!
From: Turner in Arkansas
Good job Sen on the game last week. You had 22 fantasy points and are looking to improve this week. Tell your DAD #44 Turner says whats up.
From Samik in Muncie, IN
Seneca, I am a big fan of the Seahawks and I live outside of Indianapolis. You did great as a backup quarterback. Good luck in Monday night's game against the Raiders.
From: Doder in Ames Iowa
Seneca, your game against Kansas City was so amazing. Seeing you pump your fists after that first touchdown pass was SO cool, especially since when I met you in Ames, you were one of the mellowest, coolest cats I ever met. Not only that, you were nice enough to come out for a photo shoot on your day off in the July heat to help out a fellow ISU student with a project. That was the kindest and most humble act I've ever witnessed. Seneca, you are my hero, and that's the truth. You show ALL of us that we can get there if we work hard. Sure, it sucks sometimes, but we can get there. Keep it going, Seneca. We all believe in you. (PS-there are some really nice framed pics of you in your Seahawks uniform at the Jacobsen Building these days).
From: Ross in Norman Oklahoma
Seneca I was in Kansas City cheering you on and even though we lost, you did not disappoint me in the least, good luck against Oakland!
From: Scott in the Cyclone State
I have followed you ever since you signed with the Cyclones, and I was sitting on the hillside during your run against Texas Tech on homecoming. It was freezing that night but everyone warmed up after that play. It's good to see you playing for a great team with a great coach. Question, do you still follow Iowa State, and how do you feel about the rumors of Dan Mccarney being replaced, and how big of an impact has he had on your career?
From: Eddie in Henderson Kentucky
What's going on Sen. You deserve to be a starting NFL Quarterback. I keep telling people that you are Michael Vick with accuracy. I know you could have been hooping in the NBA. By the way this is Eddie from 24 Hour Fitness, Kevin's Friend. Prove those analysts wrong.
From: Aunt Lois in LA
I knew you would shine when you got your chance. Congrats on a great game at KC. Keep the faith! Luv U !!
From: Jo in Ames Iowa
We could use you back here at ISU. Having a real tough season. But so glad to see you got a start against KC. Hang in there. Everything will fall into place for you. All Iowa State fans are rooting for you!
From: John in Cedar Rapids Iowa
Hey, I am a big fan of you man. I'm also a die hard Cyclone fan. I've been waiting for you to start for a long time. This is your chance to show to the NFL that you are a great QB. You were the best at ISU! We really miss you man. So good luck and hope to see you start alot. GO SEAHAWKS!!!!

From: Coach Rieger in Roseville California
I have followed your progress since your high school days. I am very proud of your efforts. I still coach football and still talk highly of your achievements to today's players. You are an inspiration to alot of young athletes. Continue working hard and striving for the best. We are behind you all the way! Go get the Chiefs!!
From: Roberto in North Miami Beach Florida
Hey, Seneca! I just wanted to let you know that during the time I spent in Washington, stationed in Fort Lewis with the Army ( been out of the service since March) I could not help but become a pseudo Seahawks fan, now, don't tell any Dolphin fans about this!!! Let me get to the point, I see great future in your professional career, and I believe next Sunday is going to be a great day for you to shine in the NFL. Socrates once said that "The nearest way to glory is to strive to be what you wish to be thought to be" I am confident that, when the opportunity comes, you will bring your very best game and leave it all on the field that when we, the fans, leave the premises of the field or turn the TV set off at the end of the game may be left with a good taste in our mouths, great memories in our minds and no doubt in our hearts as to what great a quarterback Seneca Wallace is. Best of luck next Sunday!!!!!!
From: Kaylie in Marengo Iowa
Seneca, you are amazing! I knew the first time I watched you play at Iowa State that you would be a professional quarterback. I go to a small high school about 30 minutes from Iowa City so everyone at my school is an Iowa Hawkeye fan except for two people, Tyler and me. Tyler has been a starting receiver for our football team since he was a freshman and of course wears the number 15! I played volleyball sporting the 15 and we both play basketball sporting 15 on our away jerseys. I am excited that you are now getting your chance to show the world what I have been trying to tell them since the first time I watched you play. You haven't let me down yet and I don't expect you will! Good luck in these next few weeks and play with your good Iowa State heart that I know you have. Your ability to be a role model and a leader of a team was amazing in college and I hope that you can keep those traits in the NFL. Don't worry that those guys are bigger stars and have more fans because it's just because they haven't seen Seneca yet. I've had faith in you since your first year at Iowa State and I watch your run against Texas Tech before every athletic event I participate in, it gives me courage to be the best I can be. You'll always be my favorite quarterback no matter what happens with the rest of your career but I have a good feeling that you will be a legend sooner then you can imagine. Kaylie P.S. I'm a HUGE Los Angeles Lakers fan as well!! In fact my nickname here at school is Kobe lol...hopefully they will finally get over that bump in the road this year and become something really great!!!
From: Ron in Kahler
Seneca: I remember your first game at Iowa State. It was against Northern Iowa. We won the game and you gave my two boys your wristbands witch we still have to this day. I was very lucky to meet and visit with your father after the game. It is not hard to see where you get your great character. I really enjoyed visiting with him. We also saw you at your first game in Green Bay. You gave my Son Jeremy your towel after the game. It now sits next to his wristband. I wish you and your family all the best and hope to see you sometime soon in Ames. God Bless
From: Matt in Ames Iowa
Just wanted to say that we really miss you here at Iowa State, and I hope you can make it back someday so you can get the standing ovation that you deserve. Good luck with everything.
From: Chris in Ames Iowa
Hey Seneca, I definitely miss watching you play for Iowa State, but now you finally get to start in the NFL!! I have been waiting to play you in my fantasy team for along time haha good luck man.

From: Shivani in Seattle Washington
I LOVE U!!!!!! You will do great this weekend against Kansas...and show them how it's really done!!
From: MC in Ames Iowa
Seneca, how are you? Dude, you are proof to all of us how far you can go if you work hard. Of course, we didn't want to see Matt go down for you to get a hold of the spotlight, but hey when make that lemonade out of those lemons.
From: MSG Perez, 101st Airborne Division in Wenatchee Washington
I have been a Seahawks fan for a long time. When I first saw you play with the Hawks I though you were really good. One of my fears was that you would go to another team do to your talents. Glad to see you stay with the Hawks. Now you get to start a game. Awesome! I know the nerves must be up there. Hope you realize that it is a team sport and that you don't have to face this challenge alone. Good Luck. God bless.
From: Aaron in Sunnyside Washington
Great to see the Hawks taken a liking to you. I have followed you since you were at Iowa State (GO CYCLONES!!!) Best of luck the next few games I know you'll do all the Seahawk and cyclone fans proud!
From: Lynn in Seattle Washington
Seneca, we're behind you 100% this week and always! Play great, play hard, play smart! GO HAWKS!!
From: Larry in Redmond Washington
This is it Seneca. I've often wondered what #15 would do if he was given the opportunity. All though this is a team sport, you've just become the captain of the ship and we Hawks fans are all FIRED up cause we know something the rest (in the NFL) have yet to learn: THE MAIN WAY INTO THE HEART OF SEATTLE IS SENECA STREET! Along with Strong, #12 is blocking: Run Seneca!
From: Tracci in Spokane Washington
I believe that everyone comes into your life for a reason. Good luck to you and God bless!!
From: Maurice in Columbus Ohio
You should create your own website. You have been my starting quarterback on video games since you were a rookie.
From: Jeremy in Seattle via ISU
This is your team for the next few weeks Seneca, and I have no doubt you can lead them to some W's. Here's hoping you play as well as the last time you started a game at Arrowhead (vs. FSU in '02) but with a win this time! I thought you had a TD at the end, but the officials thought otherwise. My favorite Seneca moment was your 80-some yard scramble for a 15 yard touchdown against Texas Tech, I was in the 15th row on the 40 yard line at Jack Trice!
From William in Stevenson
Seneca, good luck this week against KC. You are mine and my wife's and my son's favorite player. And we will be wearing our #15 jerseys around and making sure people are ready for an amazing game.
From: Barry in Melbourne Australia
Good Work mate, good to hear stories like that. And great job giving back! You are a role model for others going through difficult times. Good stuff and All the best against the chiefs!!
From: Seth in Glenwood Iowa
I was at ISU when you played there. The opening game against Florida State in KC was one of the best NCAA games I've attended. Anyway, I work in Seattle now and everyone in the office is cheering for you. Good luck in the upcoming weeks!
From: Joe in Rancho Cordova California
Sen, It's great to see you doing so good. I still remember the days at Cordova and having you as a close friend keep up the good work my family and I picked you up on our Fantasy teams. Sen Loac!!
From: William in Vancouver Washington
The OK program sounds amazing and hopefully more programs like that make to the rest of the country. I wanted to say that you are mine and my wife's favorite player. We came to the preseason game against the Cowboys this year and had 2 custom Seneca Wallace jerseys made for us. We also made a sign that says "We love Seneca Wallace" you may have seen it; we were sitting in your tunnels section. I'm sure after this week people will recognize my #15 jersey a lot better. Good luck this week and we will be rooting for you.
From: Adam in Johnston Iowa
Seneca, my whole family and I have been watching you play since you first stepped foot on the field at Iowa State. No matter what team you play for, you will always have fans back in the state of Iowa. Even though I am older than you I have looked up to you as a role model because of what you have accomplished. Too short to play quarterback, hands too small? Look where that has gotten you now. Keep up the good work.
From: B in Seattle Washington
I always knew there was something special about you, the first time I met you I told myself "That guy has a good head on his shoulders and was raised right" I'm just glad to see you doin yo thing, I love you and wish you much success.
From: Connor in Seattle Washington
It's great to know that you are determined, because now's your chance to prove to the league that you're ready to guide a team to the playoffs. Matt needs you, your team needs you, and the city of Seattle needs you. We know you can do it Seneca the Determined! Go out there and make it happen next week!
From: Jennifer in Bellevue Washington
You did a great job today!!!!!!!!! It's got to be tough to step into a game in the 3rd after Matt's injury. You are such a universal player; it is fantastic to watch you play. GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!
From: Shawn in Spokane Washington
Seneca, I can relate to having two older brothers. I am very proud of mine as well. They have turned out so well. Our parents divorced when I was ten. We had to try and accept a new boyfriend of my Mom's, things never turned out well with him. Any how, upon graduating from high school they both dipped into the Air Force. They have been in ever since 1999. I'm so proud of their service, sacrifice, and success. They are both married with daughters respectively. One, is a huge Seahawks fan who is now stationed in Graham, WA at McChord Air Force base. It's good to know that you understand the bond of brothers!
From: Joey in West Richland
Seneca your an excellent athlete and could start at QB for any other team in the league. I hope we blow teams out this year so we can see you play.
From: David in British Columbia
You are a great player. Keep being determined and you will get your chance at a starter. Keep it up!
From: Marla in Lynnwood Washington
Hey Seneca, I just wanted to say Thank You for your time at the pro-shop for signing my football. I'm so glad you're a Seahawk and hope to see you more often at Lynnwood 24Hr Fitness! I've seen you play b-ball there. I'm your biggest fan and keep up the great work! Wishing you and the team a great season, and take it all the way to Miami!
From: Mike "Bailforce" in Valencia California
First and foremost I like you as a player and you show great class. But my question to you is about family. I have two younger brothers and I want the best for them, so I am asking for some advice on how I should help them along the way. What types of things did you like and don't like about your older brothers helping you grow up. And I'm sure they still try to help you. Thank you, Mike.
From: Justin in Puyallup Washington
Seneca you don't know me but I know u! You are my favorite player in the NFL. You have great ability to play QB and WR never seen someone do that before! I thought I would drop by in let you know!
From: Jamie in Costa Mesa California
Seneca, what do you do during the off-season to stay in shape? And how close are you and Matt off the field?
Seneca's Reply: (In the Off Season)I work out very hard off the field during the off-season with Colonel (Mike Clark) and Jeffrey (Carroll) and (Darren) Krein, our strength and conditioning coach. We work very hard power cleaning and running outside on the turf. We do wind sprints to build up our endurance and then we come inside and do some box work that includes cleans, squats, shrugs, pull ups and bench press.
Off the field I am very close with Matt. We do several things off the field, such as far as couple's bible study on Fridays. We work very hard together. Matt is a great guy who does a lot of great things for the community.

Now, did you really ALWAYS get along with you siblings?!!? If so, that would have to be some kind of record! Thanks for the blog! P.S. I only hope that someday we will see you returning punts!

From: Dana in Easley South Carolina
Hello, I have an 18 year old son that plays high school football. He is in his senior year. He has played football since the tender age of 7. He plays both offense and defense. He is very good at both, but is really used on defense, because of his tackling skills. He is not very big though. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs about 175-180 lbs. He is usually one of the smallest on the field, but hits the hardest, and can take a hit with the best of them. We don't have many college scouts come to our area, other than from Clemson University. He does not want to play for Clemson or any school in the state of South Carolina. My question is how I get him exposed? Do you think his size will hinder him being selected to play for a college? The season is coming to an end. I have taped all of his games. Waiting Anxiously For a Reply, Dana
Seneca's Reply: Just trust that everything is going to work out for the best. If you work hard and you have all the game films taped and get those out to colleges that you want to go to, your game will speak for itself. If you are a kid that can make a lot of plays on the field and you have good character, I think everything will work out for the best. Where I came from, being an undersized quarterback, I just let my game speak for itself. If I was making plays every Saturday, I think most of the college scouts and coaches recognized that. I think you can't worry about putting a lot of pressure on it. As long as you work hard and have good character and if the people like you on your recruiting trips, you will have a good chance. Just keep working hard, be positive and don't worry about the issues that you can't control, like being undersized. Just worry about the issues that you can control.

Sounds like you have a great life, and I am glad we have you to root for as a member of the Seahawks. The times I've been able to meet you have been memorable. You are such a cool person, Seneca. I sincerely hope we have you in Seattle for many years to come. Sorry I missed you at the Pro Shop this year. I am really upset with myself for not making it. Hopefully I can meet you again soon; I have another custom picture I made for you. God bless you!

I am a Northern California Seahawk fan proudly sporting HAWKS colors! I understand how much of a stand-up guy you are, and in this day of me-ball you are a true team player and roll-model. Thanks for being rock solid, and I'm sure glad you're on our team. I am looking forward to the Hawks finishing this year with a win, give me a call when you want to hit Lake Berryessa, or tour Knoxville on my wife's quad. Troy
