How I prepare for a game each week

Monday:
I usually wake up in pain from the game but in a good mood because we have only lost three games so far in my career. The good thing is that we get to sleep in on Mondays because it is a shortened day of work. I arrive at the facility at 11a.m. for the first of three workouts during the week. At noon, I go to a special teams meeting and watch the previous day's film. After that we meet briefly as a team and then part ways splitting up in to offensive and defensive team meetings. We then watch the game and go over our mistakes and how they should have or could have been prevented. Upon completion of that, we join strength coaches Mike Clark and Darren Krien for conditioning. We end with a team break and the "day off" (Tuesday) begins.

Tuesday:
The "day off" ends when I join the other linebackers at the facility for the second of three lifts during the week. Once we're done lifting we meet as a unit to break down film of the upcoming opponent. Finally, the "day off" continues as several of us, usually Niko Koutouvides, D.D. Lewis and I partake in some GOLF!

Wednesday:
The most physically demanding day of the week as we are in full pads! The day begins with meetings and then a brief morning practice in which we walk through the opposing team's favorite plays. This is followed by a fantastic lunch courtesy of team chef Mac McNabb, but I usually opt for a PB&J because it makes me feel fast at practice. We then go to a half hour special teams practice followed by team practice. After the p.m. practice we continue in to meetings with both team and individual groups which will conclude the day's work.

Thursday:
Still pretty physical day as we are in full pads for the last time of the week. We follow pretty much the same format as the prior day with some changes made upon emphasis for the day. For example, Wednesday practice emphasizes the base package of the opponents, 1st and 2nd down. Thursday, focuses on short yardage, goal-line and sub packages (3rd down). Practice is again followed by meetings.

Friday:
We get to take the pads off so the emphasis goes from physical to a fast and higher tempo. It is a combination of the two previous days and pretty much an overview. The situation that is important is the opposing team's redzone plays. The day ends with meetings.

Saturday:
This is the day of the "mock game" in which we script game-like scenarios. We cover everything in this brief 30-minute practice. This is followed by a great meal which is usually catered. We check in to our team hotel by 7pm and continue with meetings.

Sunday:
Sunday is Funday! We have worked extremely hard all week and when that final whistle blows and we have won, it has all been worth it.

P.S. Every day is followed by game film at home.

Monday, Do it all again, hopefully for 20 weeks!

Lofa, if anyone should know about weird...it's you. Just kidding. I'm very proud of you and your accomplishments and also very honored that I get to be a part of it in a way. I'm also happy that you have found your "home" in Seattle, where you can thrive and be part of a "family" not just a "team". You are a leader and I wish that someday I can possess the same determination that you have. You are an inspiration to everyone around you. I'm proud of you my "brother baby". Peace, Love, and Happiness be with you all ways and always- your sister Nea

From Lanie in Kirkland Washington
Hey Lofa, You Rock!!!

From: Kevin in Plainville Maine
Hey Lofa, my name is Kevin and I have played football for KP for 7 years and it is really cool to see you in video games and on TV. You live just a couple of seconds from me. You also went to high school with my sisters Tina, Stacey, and Michelle.

From: Tricia in Caldwell Idaho
Hey Lofa, I have been a Seahawk fan for about 12 years now and I do have to say that your Rookie year was off the hook. I saw every game and I love to watch you play. The hit you made in the Carolina game last year was great. Thanks for helping make the Seahawks who they are today.

From: Pulu and Chris in Federal Way Washington
Come to our school it's only a 1 hour drive. "Now".

From: Robbie in Anchorage Alaska
Me and my brother watch every game of yours. Last year when you were coming out of college we were like he can play. Peace out.

From: Alex in Emmett Idaho
Dude you're the best! I have your rookie and collage card, your home and away jersey too! You are the best man.

From: Christine in Plainville Maine
WOW. What a huge star you are here in your hometown. You make Plainville SO proud. I see so many people who wear your T-Shirt stating that we're so proud of you and good luck Lofa. Most got it at the Eagle Brook. Hope you come back real soon to visit! I'm sure your Dad would LOVE it. Stay healthy!

From: Tone in BKK Thailand
Hey Lofa, Just wanted to say I am a big fan of yours. I love watching you play. Keep your energy and leadership.

From: Sefo in Seattle Washington
Hey Lofa what's up?? I just wanted you to know that you have family up here in Seattle. When your dad Mosi played for the New England Patriots they would come to town to play the Seahawks, and he would call Tony his cousin to come to the game and afterwards they would go out and get some Samoan food...lol.... But anyways I just wanted to say that we are very proud of you and that you keep tat-tupo!!! Those running backs and quarterbacks. Hey if you talk to Mosi tell your dad this is Soi's son Joe, the lady who took care of him when he was a little kid.

From: Alex in Issaquah Washington
Lofa, I knew when we drafted you that you would be a special and valuable part of our team. The Hawks kept plugging in MLB's that couldn't take control of the defense and be our general on the field. Now, I would put up our front 7, led by you, against any other in the NFL. Stay healthy and keep up the good work!

From: Junior in Renton, WA
Malo lava , brada keep it going! I want my kids and nephews to be just like you. Sounds like you struggled for awhile, but now you made it. My whole family will be cheering for you and the other Poly’s on the team. Say hello to Itula, Ia manuia le taloga. SOIFUA.

From: Jeff in Plainville, Massachusetts
What's up Lofa, It's really cool watching someone from my hometown also play in the NFL. Wish the Patriots picked you in the draft; hope to see Seahawks against Patriots in the Super Bowl. I played 5 years in the KP Chiefs system, and hope I can be as good as you someday. Have a great season!!

From: Resa in Waimea Hawaii. (Now in Kent)
Hey Lofa! I just wanted to say that you and the rest of the Seahawks did a good job on Sunday, even if it was a loss. I wanted to tell you about this guy that reminds me so much of you. His name is Jordon; he's a linebacker for the Colorado Buffaloes (Local boy from the island of Kauai). He plays the game with so much heart, and loves the game as much as you do. I watch him on Saturdays and like you, where ever that ball is he's there. He was the first true freshman to start at his position 3 years ago. He's made a name for himself at that school, which has made all of us so proud. Its great to see someone from a small island like ours making it to play college ball. All though it’s unsure what the future holds for him, Im hoping that he will get that chance that you got to make it to the big time. Keep up da good work and if you get a chance. Check him out.

From: Tye in Woodinville, WA
Hi Lofa, you are good at football. I think I will go to a Seahawk game this year. I hope I see you in the Super Bowl.

From: Deanna in San Diego, CA
I never followed the Seahawks until Pete pointed you out. Great job! Sorry about JR going to the Patriots.

From: Brandon in Wenatchee, WA
I think you’re doing really doing great Lofa. I am a huge fan of your tackling.

From: Ray in Puyallup, WA
Keep up the good work! So glad you’re a Seahawk!

From: Gloria in Toppenish, WA
Lofa, I’m a huge fan of yours! I wear your jersey at all the games I go to with my dad. I can't wait to see you force the Bears into hibernation later tonight! See you at Qwest Field Nov. 6th!!

From: Scott in Marysville, WA
Hey L.T. Your hardships are your gift; it's what endears you to us. My son is a senior guard on his high school team. He spends all year including his summers in the weight room and is a thick 225lbs, but is only 5'10". He wants to keep playing but told me he wasn't big enough, guess what I told him? Thanks Lofa

From: Mike in Lakewood, WA
Lofa, I wanted to say thank you for your time at training camp and for signing the 2-Super Bowl XL Jersey's I had. One of those is still yours for your foundation when you get it up and running. We will have it custom framed for you just let me know when your going to have a charity auction and we will get it to you! Also very proud of you as you continue to grow and be the leader we need on defense. This is the year we win the Super Bowl and even though we have a high powered offense, defense will be the key this year! Our prayers will be with you all year long to keep you strong & healthy! Again let me know who to get in touch with so we can make that donation and this is written before the Bear game and I see it Sea 31 Bears 13! Take care and God Bless! From the Mike, Anna, Ashley & Lil Mike PS - If you bowl again this year for the Trufant foundation our boy has Autism, and would love to see you bowl against him! He is good!

From: Cameron in Rathdrum, Idaho
Hi Lofa! I’m a huge fan of the Seahawks and you are my favorite linebacker. I remember one game where you went head to head with a player and you made them fall to the ground and jumped up (It looked like you didn’t even get hit). I joined the kids club and I got the letter from you. It was cool! I have it on my wall. Go out there and hit 'em hard!

From: Chris in San Diego, CA
You are a great talent. You always seem to be in tune with the game. I hope you always keep that fire. Oh yeah and pick one off of Grossman for the Hawks.

From: Brandon in Hickory, North Carolina
Lofa Tatupu- I have been a huge fan of the Seattle Seahawks since I knew what the NFL was. I lived in Seattle before I moved to NC, and so I was merged into the 12th man. Let me tell you, it’s not easy being the only Seattle fan in my high school, but hey, I bleed blue and green. I guess it is safe to say I was a little shocked when we took you 2nd round, but as I can see, you have only brought us talent that no other could. Bring us home a championship. Keep it up big guy.

From: Brian in Dover, Delaware
Lofa you are great! I'm glad you’re a hawk and hope you stay with us. Because of you Seattle has a new fan; my stepson. Keep up the good work. We got your back in the east!!

From: Connor in Helena, Montana
Lofa you’re the man. You’re my favorite player since you came to the Seahawks. It doesn’t matter how big you are like you said. I play football too for my high school. Im kinda like you I'm not the biggest player, but I run hard, and tackle even harder. I play MLB, CB, and Running Back. I start MLB and CB. You inspire me to live right and play hard. Go Seahawks. Watch out for the CUBS.LOL (bears)

From: Cheryl in Bothell, WA
Hi Lofa! Let me start off by saying that I was one of those who was "slow to get it"! The only knowledge I had of you when you were drafted is that you came from USC and that you had a hamstring injury during training camp last year. It really wasn't until the Monday Night Football Game against Philadelphia where you made it loud and clear that you were a legitimate rooky of the year candidate with your wild performance including that 34 yard interception return for a touchdown that I finally noticed!! Even beyond your outstanding performance, what really made me "fall in love with you" was your interview afterwards in which you seemed to convey the "just doing my job mentality" How refreshing!! Now that I've gone back and read your diary from last year, I've become far more educated on just how important your position of Middle Linebacker or "Mikebacker" as you call it really is; And now we have one that is setting the standard for future "Mikebackers" to come, at least for the Seahawks!! God Bless You and Go Pull the Upset over your Counterpart Brian Erlacker and the Rest of the Bears!!

From: Monique in Seattle, WA
Hey Lofa! You are such a good player. I started watching football with my dad and when I saw you with the Seahawks, I was so blown away. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

From: Eileen in Kirkland, WA
Lofa, you are a rockstar... Keep up the incredible playing and good heart. You are one of my favorite players. You will go a long way in this game.

From: Mikendanik in Kennewick, WA
Go, Lofa, Go! Danielle and I and Jessica (and the twin "Pug Sea Hawkers") enjoy watching every down you play; you and the entire defense have been so impressive! Keep up your tremendous play and your great teamwork & leadership. I've been a Hawk fan since I was a kid when the Hawks started (dang that seems so long ago now!) and you, and the whole team, continue keep us excited and make us more proud than ever! Stay safe and keep your "quick feet a movin'"!

From: Rick, Derek and Travis in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
If there is a role model in professional sports that I want my children to look up to is you. They too dream of playing pro football and it’s great to be able to point them to someone who has excelled and overcome the odds regardless of what others said about him. It’s extra special when that individual plays for the dad's favorite team for the last 25 years. Kick some butt, and bring back to Super Bowl Trophy to Seattle.

From: Isak in Sweden
Hey Lofa, You are an inspiration to me. I watched many of your games and really enjoy them! :)

From: Becky in Hermiston, OR
Lofa, you are a coach’s dream and a fan favorite. I love the way you play with fierce intensity! My 9 yr old son loves you, too :) He is smaller too and you are a true inspiration for him. Thank you! Please never leave Seattle, we love you! We were screaming our heads off at the Giants Game, you guys destroyed them :)

From: Joe in Richland, WA
What's up Lofa! Great game Sunday. Defense wins championships. Our team is looking fantastic especially the defense anchored by the best linebacker in the league...T-A-T-U-P-U!!!!!!!! You the man, that's why I bought my 15 month old son a T-A-T-U-P-U!!!!! jersey. Go Hawks!

From: Blaine in Prosser, WA
To say you are an inspiration would be an understatement. You are one of the best linebackers I have ever seen. I've loved the Seahawks since I could walk and to watch you bring pride back to that is amazing. I wish you the best season this year, and hope you guys repeat, only this time as the deserving champions you are. Thank your for being a hero to all of us.

From: John D. III in Cle Elum, WA
You are the hard nail that the Hawks have been missing in that BIG D that we have all been waiting for. Thanks for your guts!

From: Adam in Forest Grove, OR
My friends and I have a saying that can be used in any life situation... WWTD or What Would Tatupu Do? My goal is to have Chris Berman say "WHAT WOULD TATUPU DO?" on Primetime one day. Spread the word...

From: Ryan in Vancouver, B.C
Thanks for anchoring a defense that looks scary good this year. It won't be long before your #51 will be synonymous with another #52. Keep the fire inside going baby!

From: Heather in Tonasket, WA
Again-this is an inspirational story to share with anyone that is doubted-I hope my kids (when I have them) look up to role models like you.

From: James in Amarillo, TX

Hey Lofa...listen I am all about football. Also I am a huge fan of the Seahawks and you of course. Well I want to be in the NFL.I work really hard. For QB cause its fun. I saw that you were one in high school. I am 14 years old and I see you play every Sunday. People always say.....oh you won’t make it to the NFL but it just gives me more confidence...and makes me try harder. Well good luck this Sunday against the GIANTS member last November lol. Well see ya Tatupu...Bubye

From: Katie in Belfair, WA
The first time I watched you play I knew you were going to be amazing. Before you came to Seattle I could never choose a favorite player, you have made my decision making quite simple actually. I love watching you play on game day. I am always keeping my eye on #51. You are a HUGE piece of our defense, and I hope it stays that way for a long time to come. See ya Sunday!! GO HAWKS!!

From: David in Abbotsford, BC
You are a great player. You inspire me and you work hard. Keep up the great work. And keep tackling hard!

From: Kennedy in Londonderry, NH
Lofa...I'm proud to say that I was a big fan of your dad's throughout his 14 year career. I've been a Pat's fan all of my life, and then a Seahawks fan in 1978. I couldn't have been happier when the Seahawks drafted you. I was an instant fan and wear my # 51 jersey faithfully (even though I have 8 other Hawk jerseys). Keep up the AWESOME work you do and thank you for showing such great respect and love for your parents. It's valuable for your younger fans.

From: Pam in Craig, Colorado
I left the Seattle area in 1977. But I have been a Fan of the Seahawks since the team Started in 1976. You and the boys are doing great keep up the good work .Your number 1 Fan in Co.

From: Dennis in NY
LOFA! You are my favorite defensive player in the NFL. I, too, am glad you are a Hawk. I have been a Seahawks fan since I was 11 yrs old. I use to love watching your father play football when I was a kid on the couch, with my father. My son a Rabid Falcons fan is noticeably being swayed to the Seattle side. He plays Madden and picks Seattle so he can be LOFA. Does my heart good! lol. Keep those hits coming. You have become a Fan Favorite since day 1.

From: Darren in Victoria B.C.
I've been a Hawks fan as long as I've watched the sport. I'm thrilled that the team is really starting to come together. You my friend are such a huge part of that formula and I'd like to say KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, sack Manning and GO HAWKS!!!!!!

From: Chris in Wasilla, Alaska
Lofa you are a joy to watch! Thanks for all the hard work and extra effort you give on the field. You are such a great addition to the team. I look forward to watching you play with the Seahawks for many years to come. Please stick around until its time to go to Canton! You can bet when my daughter gets a little older she'll be cheering "LOFA!" right along with me. Take care, stay strong and keep up the great work :)

From: Heather in Tonasket, WA
Lofa - YOU ROCK! Thank you for being such an inspirational person. You are a great role model for everyone, not just children. You are a huge part of what makes watching the Seahawks such a great thing to look forward to each week. When I have kids I will show them that they can do anything they put their minds to - and you are the example. We'll be watching you from section 138 on 12/14 when you play the 49ers - I can't wait! Good luck on Sunday!

From: Ariel in Bellingham, WA
Hey man!! It's great that the Seahawks gave you your own website. You are without a doubt my favorite player in the NFL and I even started a Facebook.com group all about you. It started with just me and my buddy and now the group has grown to over 230 people! From Massachusetts to Washington we are all rooting for you!!

From: Alex in Arlington, VA
You are my favorite player in the NFL. Good luck against the Giants and the games to come. How much can you bench press?

From: Kyle in Plainville MA
Yo I am so proud you have come along way...I remember when you scored the first touchdown when we were six and I was right there watching football from 11am to the late game I will never forget those days homie.....

From: Reuben in Killeen Texas
Lofa, "Alofaaga mai Texas" Greetings and love from Texas. I am a diehard Seahawk fan for 30 years. I started my military career at Fort Lewis Washington November 1975 when the Seahawk enter the NFL in 1976 with Jim Zorn, Steve Largent, and Manu Tuiasosopo with Coach Patera. Those were some exciting days. I also followed your dad's football career from USC with Charlse White and Ricky Bell to New England with Eason and James Craig. I want you to know that I am following your football career very closely from USC to Seattle and I am very impressed and proud of how you carry yourself and how you approach the game. You have inspired a lot of kids to keep pursuing their dreams regardless of the odds or obstacles they're facing. Lofa, I wish you the best in LIFE and a very successful career. Ps I think that you should have won the defensive rookie of the year last year but I guess the NFL only look at sacks versus the total package with sack, interception, total tackles, and tackles for loss, but that's only my opinion. I am glad that you are a Seahawk....GO SEAHAWK!!! Tofa Soifua and may God’s blessings be upon you always!

From: Jr in Tucson. AZ
Hey Lofa I played a game against you while you were at Maine, you hit our QB so hard he quit the team after our game. I have always respected your hard work to get where you need to be, just like dad!!!!!!!!! GO Seahawks!!!!!!!!!

From: Renata in Bothell, WA
I just read an article from December 2005 that expands on what you have said above. Your families’ history and your upbringing is inspiring. I absolutely love your mother's outlook on life. I love watching you on the weekends and how even if you don't make the tackle you are there....ready to give a high five to whoever did make it. My son just started flag football and I made him watch you this weekend just for that reason. Awesome sportsmanship. Keep it up Lofa!

From: Mike in Plainville, MA
Hey Lofa, My name is Mike and I am a freshman at King Philip. I am on the freshman football team and we are looking pretty good. The Varsity isn't doing so good. We need someone to step up like you did at middle linebacker. Last year the team at a really good line backer name Tom, my brother, he had only a little less tackles than u had. You inspired him. We need you to help us.

From: Michelle in Kirkland, WA
Hi Lofa, Just wanted to say i am a big fan of yours. I love watching you play. You have so much energy and you are always a leader. Your one of my favorite players because you are relentless and you rock. Good luck on Sunday!!

From: Shana in Norfolk, VA
LOFA! Represent KP! You should give a speech for graduation this year. Everyone loves you!

From: Bethany in Renton, WA
You are a true inspiration in every sense of the word. You have achieved and will continue to do so because you have the determination and courage most lack. I am honored to be your fan and to cheer you on in every game. Thanks for being a great person and a great player. GO SEAHAWKS

From: Russ in Pocatello, ID
You watched that much TV? No wonder your dad thought you would make a better soccer player! Just kidding. Smash Tiki Barber into the ground this weekend for me.

From: Jason in Portland, OR - now Seattle
I know what you mean, my dad tried to bribe me to play basketball - which was one of the reasons I wrestled! HAHA Love watching you play - my buddies and I call you "The Wolf" because you watch and move like a pack hunter. Keep up the good work, stay healthy and hunt Manning this weekend!!

From: Jonathan in Richland, WA
I just wanted to first off tell you I’m a huge fan of your career. And I am a US Marine stationed in San Diego I saw that your Grandfather was a Marine how was growing up with him and did you see any of the Marine life?

From: Kiko in Duvall, WA
Lofa, you are an inspiration at heart. A true person will always win. Family is important and proves the future in each individual, the harder you try the better it gets, and the better it gets the better you feel as a person. Keep up the good work and always keep your head up. I have never met such a humble, true, and caring person such as yourself the day we came to see you at Costco, Kirkland WA. We share the same pride in artwork. This shows dedication and strength. Can’t wait to see you get your Super Bowl ring this year. It should be number 2, but one is better than one. Plus you didn't loose you just got better. Talofa, lava and a hui, ho Kiko

From: Cheryl & Shawn in Attleboro, MA
Hey Lofa, I have talked to your dad several times since you started playing for USC, keeping up to date on all the goings on. We watched the draft, and were very elated when you were called. I have tried to get an email address or phone number for you, but you know your dad, he can never remember it. Shawn and I watch all your games when you are televised in the area. We are both so proud of you and the man you have become. It seems like just yesterday I was carting you around to Pop Warner practices with all your buddies, and taking you guys out trick or treating. God I am getting old. Anyhow, hope this gets to you or someone in your family so that you know we are thinking about you all. Love you and thinking of you!!! Cheryl & Shawn (aka Powie)

From: Resa in Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii
Aloha, to achieve your life long dream is a blessing. You were destined to play football. Every Sunday when we watch you play, I see it. Good Luck! A hui hou…malama pono!

From: Jonny in Bremerton, WA
When you started last season I was hopeful you would work out. I was hopeful you would be a diamond in the rough. Now a year later you are in inspiration. I am all grown but my sons can watch and learn form you. Hopefully they see your heart. For the last 5 seasons my favorite player on the team has been Kaz #58. And, no offense, he still is but you as close to second as it gets. I love watching guys who play with heart. It makes it fun. Thanks.

From: Jeremy in Thousand Oaks, CA
Lofa, I am very much in to Collage and pro football. I am both a USC fan and a Seahawks fan. I am 15 years old, and ever since you first transferred to USC; (I think because of your name), you became my favorite player on USC. Mean while, I was (and still is) a killer Seahawks fan. (My dad was born in Seattle). In the draft when you were picked in the 2nd round by the Seahawks, I went crazy! That was one of the happiest days of my life. You are now my favorite player in football in general. Also when you had that incredible rookie season, I was not the least bit surprised. I knew you had that capability. Rookie of the Year should be in your hands. Anyway, my father was not in the NFL but he did want me to play soccer instead of football because I was short and skinny. I am currently playing JV Westlake football. You give me inspiration as some one undersized and still accomplishes a whole lot!

From: Ann in Narragansett, RI (now in Chicago, IL)
Hi Lofa! Your mom sent me this link to your ad campaign and blog. The entire site is like you - amazing - personally and professionally! I'm so happy for you, Rachael and your entire family. A special shout out to "HisMoma" who inspires and motivates all of us! Take care Lofa! Best wishes from all of us at CSMG!

From: Whitney in Port Townsend, WA
Watching you play on the field must give your family the biggest sense of pride and accomplishment. As a fan, watching you continuously deliver hard hit after hard hit, and always making huge plays for your team makes me burst with pride on your behalf. You are simply an amazing athlete and an obvious leader for your teammates. As a season ticket holder, I gotta say, that I know offense is where the points are at, but for pure entertainment value, defense is the best view for the money!! Watching you is like watching a million atoms of energy in a contained methodical package. So as a fan, I would like to say, thank you, you are an inspiration to anyone with a shred of dedication, regardless of the focus of that dedication.

From: Drew in Auckland New Zealand/ Petesa, American Samoa

From: Zach in Snohomish, WA
I think you are one of the coolest players in the NFL. I'm playing tackle football (DE and Safety) for my first time and I love it. I look up to you and someday I grow up and be a Middle Linebacker like you. My Dad played college football and my Papa has been a High School and college football coach for 40 years. I want to be just like them someday. See you on gameday! I'll be the one asking for a glove.

From: Marcos in San Jacinto, CA
Lofa is traveling in warp in becoming superstar. In the future will belong in the Seahawk Ring of Honor and we won't stop there were probably looking at a hall of famer before our eyes. "Good Luck Lofa" GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!

From: Sean in Greensboro, NC
Lofa, I am glad to see you back on the gridiron bustin' people up. I was born the same year as the Seahawks and raised in Victoria, BC. Needless to say I am a lifelong fan. Also, I am a big military buff and saw that your Grandfather was a captain in the Marines. I am interested in learning his story of his service for our country and thinking it might be a good item to post on your blog, especially during our time of patriotism. P.S. I will be watching the game this week against the Giants at my friend's house (Huge Giants fan)so kick some tail for me and pass that on to the rest of the team. Sincerely, 30 year 12th man!

From: Chris in Wenatchee, WA
That is a really cool experience having your dad as an NFL player then your dream to be in the NFL. Especially the odds against you playing linebacker at 5'11. It is the same way with me being a 5'9'' 170 pound center and nose guard for my 4A high school team. I love it when anyone is told there too small and defy the odds. We all know that you should have been defensive rookie of the year not Shawne Merriman just because of his 3-4 defense sending him to blitz the quarterback. Lofa you inspire me to be a better player and I know that you will take the Seahawks to win the super bowl. This year there won't be horrible refs. Lofa you are the man and I will wait for the day that you enter the hall of fame. Don't leave the Seahawks because you are the linebacker of the future and you will carry the defense just like you did last year, as a rookie. Have a good year and dominate!!!

Man you are awesome! I grew up watching the Seahawks when Jim Zorn was the QB... I could never imagine my Hawks being as good as they are now. The biggest reason is you! You are amazing. I hope you never forget how you got to where you are now!! Go Hawk!!

Hi Lofa, I never really watched NFL Football until last year when we moved up here from CA and there was not much to do in the winter, but watch football. From the first time I saw you and the guys I was totally hooked!!! We got one of the Seahawks Family cookbooks at Costco and you and Leroy Hill were sooo nice to us. Thanks again for the hard work...you deserve the best!
